ATTENTION!
Due to some life changes, some physical ailments, and other circumstances, 2024 will be my final summer tattooing with Optic Nerve Arts. ONA is my family. There will always be a part of me that remains, humming along to the playlist, listening to the antics of Tim and Pedro and the buzz of machines droning into the infinite. I may be back from time to time, so keep an eye on this space. I love the amazing artists I have worked with over the years, all of my fascinating and diverse clients I have had the pleasure to get to know and of course, strange, beautiful and entropic Portland, Oregon. See you all at Columbia University, Morningside Heights, NYC in the fall.
I have been tattooing since 2003. I learned the trade on the west coast of Ireland in the fair city of Galway and tattooing has allowed me to travel the world since then. I have worked in places like Romania, Thailand, Slovenia and the Turks and Caicos Islands.
I have enjoyed every second of being a part of the talented team of artists here at Optic Nerve Arts. I love color and contrast and unusual imagery. I like to work with many different styles from Illustration, painterly, comic book and abstract styles, to space (galaxies!) traditional and neo-traditional. I am not particularly good at large fields of script (fonts, bible verses, quotes, etc.. My brain doesn't work that way and I don't enjoy it.
When I am not tattooing I love travel, learning and sliding down cold snow covered mountains. I love science fiction in all forms (Dune, Star Wars, Star Trek, The Expanse, Hyperion etc.) I love lots of music, check out my Spotify from my linktree.
For booking summer of 2024 I will be giving priority to long time clients that need pieces completed. I will not be starting large projects, but I will be taking some one-two session tattoos. If you are interested, please first read my Terms and Conditions, if that looks good, please click the link below and submit a Tattoo Inquiry Form. I will be handling the scheduling by hand, so feel free to email.
